Animal Feed Products from Biorecovery
Many food and drink factories have organic by / co products that are suitable to go into the animal feed markets. Often these materials also have an energy value to biogas, bioethanol or biodiesel companies and the opportunity is to spread outlets of both feed and energy to ensure security of outlet. Feed markets can be quite seasonal to having a spread on outlets means when one market is poor there is an opportunity to optimise revenues.
In order for material to go to feed it will need to be verified via Feed material assurance scheme (FEMAS). It will then need to be moved by a haulier verified by the Trade Assurance Scheme for Combinable Crops (TASCC)
